If I had a chance to attend any sporting event, it would no doubt be, The Master’s. Watching the world’s best golfers on possibly the world’s best golf course would be an experience like none other. There are some out there who would be more likely to attend the World Series or Super bowl, but for this guy The Master’s would be much more entertaining and fulfilling.
If you were able to watch the par 3 yesterday you were given an extra special treat when Jack Nicklaus fired an ace on number 4. I love this tradition. Every year players are able to bring their families out to play the short nine-hole par 3. Traditions are forever a part of this great tournament. It’s awesome to see Jack, Arnold, and Gary on the first tee for the inaugural drive.
Set on the eastern border of Georgia, this pristine facility attracts tens of thousands every April. The top players in the country face off to take home the coveted green jacket. Bubba Watson has taken home two of the last three, history would indicate however, this year’s champion is likely to be someone not named Bubba.
I would love it if Jordan Spieth took home the jacket this year. Last year he missed out by three strokes as Bubba ran away after the first nine. It would be great for golf if Tiger could regain his stroke and give Jack a run for his money. My other two picks this week are Jimmy Walker and Rory McIlroy. Rory for obvious reasons and Jimmy Walker because this guy has been playing out of his mind since late 2013, just another excellent player under Butch Harmon’s tutelage.
I love this course and this tournament. I will be on the edge of my seat over the next four days. My Sunday will be filled with a beverage in hand and golf on the T.V. Who are you pulling for?
